Our Mission

The 2722 Bancroft Educational Institute, Inc's mission is to provide a living-learning environment that is a home away from home for students associated with 2722 Bancroft. By maintaining an active board of directors that remains in constant contact with our 1200+ alumni, we aspire to provide a quality living-learning environment.

Here are the current Board members:

Jeff Koblick '73 lived at 2722 Bancroft from 1973-76 where he held various positions including Pledge Trainer and Breakfast Cook.  Subsequently, in 1983 Jeff and pledge brother Bob Mayer started a software company which they sold in 2002. Jeff then formed real estate investment funds which currently have $125M in real estate.  In 2002, when the House was shuttered due to numerous Berkeley code violations, Jeff helped secure financing and led the remodel and rebuilding of the of the House and Chapter.  Jeff has been on the 2722 Bancroft Board and the property manager for the House since then.  

Gary Sherrer '77 Born 1/20/56 in Kansas City Missouri, Gary is the son of Charles and Marion Sherrer. Charles was a graduate of the University of Kansas and lifelong civilian counsel for the U.S. Army Corp of Engineers supporting construction of everything from dams to missile silo's.  Marion was student of life with a Master in Education fo St. Mary's California.

Gary attended high school in Fair Oaks, Ca. (Del Campo) and Lafayette (Acalanes).  A graduate of the University of California, Berkeley in 1978 he joined California Beta in 1976.  An avid basketball  player and fan Gray was the senior manager for the Cal men's basketball team in 1978. Gary is currently self employed practicing criminal defense in the 9 bay area counties.  Gary is currently a capter advisor for Cal B.

Rich Hildebrand '84 graduated in 1987 with a B.S. in Social Science. He currently works in Walnut Creek for Slatt Capital as a commercial mortgage banker. While he was in the chapter he was the IM/IFC Sports Chair.

Angelo Genasci '06 graduated in 2008 with a double B.A. in Political Science and Mass Communications. Angelo currently works as a Realtor selling ranch, farm, and recreational real estate throughout California. While he was in the chapter, he was active with helping put together South Seas and Duck Dinner events. 

Mikey Williams '16 graduated in 2020 with a degree in Economics. While in the chapter, Mikey held a multitude of positions including Eminent Deputy Archon (Vice President) and worked closely with the Board of Directors on events like Duck Dinner prior to joining it. He was student athlete and won the Men’s Water Polo National Championship in 2016. Since graduating, Mikey has led a successful sales career in San Francisco, currently working for a company called Contentful as an Account Executive with two other Cal Beta alumni.  

Blake Peterson '17 graduated in the Spring of 2020 with a B.A. in Economics. While attending UC Berkeley, Blake was a collegiate athlete for Cal's Varsity Rugby program as well as various campus clubs. While in SAE, Blake served multiple terms as the House Manager and helped to manage the house during the summer months. Blake currently works at a late-stage startup called Navan as an Account Executive serving businesses with travel and expense management software. 

Joseph Glickman '21 graduated in 2023 with a B.S. in Business Administration and currently works in San Jose for a semiconductor company called Renesas, as a sales account manager. While he was in the chapter he was the Ritual Chair and Alumni Chair.
