Dr. Peter S. Van Houten ’53

Army Officer 1957-59 and 1960-2000 Student Affairs staff at Cal. Associate Dean of Students and later Director, Graduate School Services.(Law, Health Sciences, Graduate School) Received Berkeley Citation at retirement. As undergraduate received Big C in baseball and a Circle C in volleyball (then a men's sport). I was the Cal JV baseball coach in 1957. Representative at Large on ASUC Executive Committee. Warden of the Order of the Golden Bear. Regimental Commander, Army ROTC Past EA in senior year. Lives in Twain Harte, CA. Cal Beta Hall of Fame, 2014

Rich Lyons ’79

Associate Vice Chancellor for Innovation & Entrepreneurship, Office of the the Vice Chancellor for Research, Cal Berkeley He oversees patenting, licensing and IP management, the main startup accelerator on campus (SkyDeck), and other related areas. In July 2018 Rich returned to his faculty role at Berkeley’s Haas School after serving 11 years as the school’s dean. From 2006-08 he served at Chief Learning Officer at Goldman Sachs.

Michael Marken ’89

Head of Global Customer Support and Professional Services, ThousandEyes/Cisco; 30 years in Customer Support, Success & Service ecosystems, with the last 10 years focused on Saas operations. He is a Success Executive e that specializes in Enterprise customer, but also has experience in scaling SMB customers for growth. He is an expert at building strong teams and the process needed to ensure efficient, repeatable and stable business.

Tim Manning ’92

Senior Vice President, US Retail Operations, Mazda North America; Graduated in 1994 from Haas B-School and was 4 year member of Cal Football team; Spent 5 years working in Sports Administration field (professional and collegiate; MBA from Univ of Notre Dame in 2000; In Automotive Industry for last 23 years, 4 years at Ford, 19 years at Mazda North America Operations; Positions have included Territory Management, Port/Logistics, Regional Manager, Aftersales/Fixed O

Trevor Abbott ’08

Sr. Technical Product Manager, Amazon; Trevor graduated from Cal in 2012 and started his career with Deloitte Consulting in San Francisco. In 2015, he moved to New York to work for AQR Capital Management, a quantitative hedge fund, before deciding to pursue his MBA at Chicago Booth. After graduating in 2020, Trevor joined Amazon initially in a Strategic Finance role and eventually transitioned to Product Management. At Amazon, Trevor was responsible for leading the investment decisions to launch the latest Kindle Scribe device as well as launching and owning the advertising and monetization roadmap for the Fire tablet business.

Morgan Weaver ’13

Team Lead for West Coast Data & Analytics Sales at Google Cloud; Morgan graduated from Cal in 2015, a member of the Mens Rowing team and SAE. He started his career in Manhattan in Market Research but pivoted to Software Sales in 2018. Working at a startup called Looker, Morgan actually took the step down role-wise becoming a Sales development Representative. This got his foot in the door at a fantastic startup. He later was promoted to Accountant Executive, then Google Cloud acquired Looker. Today Morgan is the team Lead for West Coast Data & Analytics sales at Google Cloud. He lives in San Francisco with his wife and loves getting back to Cal for game days and other fun events.
